do TERRA Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils! Can I get a Yippie?!

I’m psyched to learn about all the things you can do with essential oils. It’s wonderful to believe that I can have some control over my life and my health with these drops of magic.

My dear friend Debora brought me my first order of these lovely little treats, and I couldn’t be more excited to try each of them. I fear we’ve both turned into essential oil loving women and there is no turning back.

Thing is we both heard about the same company at exactly the same time by different people, and then we found out that each of us is totally and absolutely obsessed with learning about all the things you can do.

It’s truly fascinating and life changing in many ways. We plan on making soap and those cute little bombs for the bath only using the therapeutic grade essential oils that we love so much. Then we plan on selling them at craft fairs and online. I’ve been reading up on how to make necklaces to place your oils in, and you can wear them for days without adding more scent.

We are using do TERRA Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. So far, I have Lemon which I hear is great in water or tea.

Deep-Blue Rub, which is great for those of us who have arthritis. You feel it immediately loosen up your joints, and the wintergreen smell is delightful. It has a variety of essential oils that when combined is pure magic.

Lavender is a must have it does so many things, but the most important to me is it relaxes you. I will add a drop or two into my bath or diffuse it in our room while we sleep.

I’ve heard from many people that Vetiver is a dream come true for those of us who have trouble sleeping. I cannot wait to try it tonight.

Focus blend which helps you focus on your current project, which is very helpful to those of us who have awesome imaginations and can get totally lost doing something else instead of finishing our current project.

There are a ton of others, I’d love to get my hands-on and, I will once the holidays are over and I can either buy from my friend again or sign up for wholesale and get it even cheaper and if I decide to sell down the line, I can.

I really just want to find combination’s that assist in the health and well being of people who suffer with physical issues such as, I do.

Wherefore art thou AGENT?!

I’m in the process of writing another children’s book, and I would love an agent. I will self-publish this one if I have to, but I really think that they would sell better with an agent. *DUH!*  (perhaps you could spare a moment of your time and read my book, oh dear agent?)

I have a vision when I write. I can see the characters in my mind and even the mockup of what the cover should look like. Think it’s all the years of watching TV. I write as if it’s going to be a movie someday, and since I’m used to doing AD copy for my gaming characters, it certainly feels like a full-circle moment with me doing all the work and all the advertising; I’m seriously tired. I want someone else to hock my books for me. I just want to write and create; that’s all. Is that too much to ask? I think not!

I’ve been told by various people that I’m funny; let’s hope it translates into a masterpiece of humor. I think laughter is the best medicine for almost any situation. As a teen, I was funny & sarcastic and let me tell you that’s a bad combination. I’ve since learned how to harness my sarcasm, I only use it for good not evil.

My first book “Able’s World” is uplifting and should be read by as many people as possible. Not just because I wrote it, I’m not famous or anything I just love to write and they say write what you know. That’s a little scary since I know what my next book is about. *ha!* Bet you’re wondering now too.

TREAT METHOD!! It’s Not Just For Dogs Anymore!

I don’t know about you, but I’m the type of person who needs a goal a treat at the end of a project.

Like when I’m cleaning the house, I think to myself when I am done I will have earned a coke or whatever I am in the mood for.

Pretty sure I learned this method from my mother who had been a perfectionist and after cleaning a room or the entire house she would have a cig and a coke because she earned it.

Knowing that this method has worked for me over the years I’m going to use it to help me gain strength and get healthy, so I can live a long and happy life with my hubby and our fury kids.

My goal is to be able to get my wheelchair in and out of our mountaineer, so I can start driving again & I want to do a 5k. I want to control my chronic pain levels with health, diet and no drugs eventually.

You would think just being healthy and fit would be enough of a bonus for working so hard, yeah right! *laugh*

I’ll figure out what I want, but in the meantime I need to get to work! I would love it if you join me on this month-long journey and beyond

I would love company on my journey.

Using Essential Oils to Reduce Pain Unique Treatment for Chronic Pain

Essential Oils

Essential Oils

I have arthritis and have always been on the lookout for the latest homeopathic medicine.

I am afraid of the effects of drugs on my system every day. I also have similar pain to those who have Fibromyalgia.

Needless to say, I’m desperate to find something. While searching I came across essential oils and found myself immediately intrigued by the idea of using smell & a relaxing bath to ease pain.

I’m pretty sure everyone knows about Epsom Salt, however, did you know if you put two drops of Lavender, one drop of Chamomile, one drop of Rose or Palmarosa essential oil in your bath it’s good for stress-related pain?

For Energy use two drops Eucalyptus or Rosemary, one drop of Palmarosa and one drop Peppermint.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always cold and this is the perfect remedy along with the reduction of pain. Two drops of Ylang, Ylang, one drop Ginger, one drop Pepper. It’s wonderful for stress-related pain and as a bonus, it warms you up.

This one is awesome for nausea & pain. One drop Ginger, one drop Jasmine or ylang, ylang.

This is only the tip of the iceberg as far as how aroma therapy can help with many conditions. The list below are for those suffering from pain and stiffness.

Chamomile oil – A natural anti-inflammatory – helps by relaxing the tightened muscles.
Kava Root oil – Muscle Relaxer
Valerian oil – Muscle Spasms

This is right up my alley, because I LOVE taking a relaxing bath. I love music and those flameless candles. Turning your bathroom into a spa helps you relax. They recommend you spending at least 20 minutes in your bath to get the full effects and make sure the door is shut so the smell can envelope you. If you love reading by all means bring your favorite book.

The Michael J Fox Show

Michael J Fox

I grew up watching Michael J Fox; loved Family Ties and have seen all of his movies and his TV shows. Doc Hollywood is among one of my favorite movies of Michael’s.

While filming Doc Hollywood he noticed there may be something wrong with his hand; he had a slight twitch in his left finger. Nothing could have prepared Michael for the devastating diagnoses of Parkinson’s disease at 37. Michael started The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research in hopes to find a cure.

Needless to say when I found out that Michael would be coming back to TV after he left Spin City, I could barely contain my excitement, glued to the TV I waited for The Michael J Fox Show to air.

Michael still had the same wit and charm he always had, sadly; I noticed that he has gotten considerably worse since Spin City, but that doesn’t seem to matter at all. He makes it work on the show because he doesn’t have to hide the fact he has Parkinson’s disease.

Having Michael include his disability into the story line is pure genius. Watching the show I forget that anything is wrong with Michael. They have mentioned it on a few times that goes along with a story line but there’s much more to this show then the fact that Michael has Parkinson’s disease.

Michael is married with children on his show and has a high-profile job as a TV news anchor. It’s not a mystery that there are many similarities to his own life brought into this funny, heartwarming show.

Herbalife!! Bring it On!!

The reason I decided to try Herbalife is because I want to be healthy and my diet, although not bad, wasn’t great. I want to feel amazing, I’m exhausted every day. My disability requires a lot of energy for me to do daily tasks and I just run out of energy way sooner then I should.

Pushing a wheelchair all day may sound easy, but it’s not — you have to be strong. Think about it, add your weight plus the weight of a wheelchair and that’s what you are pushing. My wheelchair’s about 17 pounds and I’m about 85 pounds.

So you see it’s not about weight for me; it’s all about feeling better and gaining strength to be strong and independent. World domination, eh did I say that? No, I mean my health domination journey. To empower myself, so I can inspire, empower someone else who is like me struggling to get through the day. I’m also hoping that my chronic pain will vanish; I hate taking medicine.

I’m relaxing this morning sipping on the most delicious tea ever that gives me energy. I only purchased a small one, and I see that I will have to buy the bigger one ASAP. I haven’t done the shake yet because my mentor says I need to do the tea first in the morning.

I do see a difference in energy when I drink the tea, and it lasts without a crash. The best part is it’s healthy, and that is always a good thing.

I am a little nervous about trying the shake because I’m fussy when it comes to eating/drinking, plus I don’t have any more soy almond milk and will be using water until I can get to the store. The shakes are meal replacements, and I will have two shakes a day with plenty of water to drink plus my yummy tea.

I have an uphill battle; I hear next week she, “The Mentor,” will be sending workout videos for me to do. She’s a kick butt kind of chick and a little scary as far as balls to the walls’ workout; she’s perfect to get my butt in shape. This is a good combination of fear and admiration.

Tiffany won’t give me a break because of my gimpy status, which is awesome and frightening at the same time. I am in for a wild ride. I can’t think of anyone better for this job, seriously!

I am done with my tea and ready for my shake. And to be honest, the shake is okay, not too bad. I know it will be much better with almond soy milk and more fruit. I love to cook, so I’ll be able to fix it up even better given time. The great thing is I can drink it like this for now, which is phenomenal because like I said, I’m very picky. Until I get used to it, I am also drinking water, which helps me get used to the shake.

You know what is strange? Since I drank my first glass of tea, I haven’t craved coke like I did before drinking it. I hope it stays that way, , because I am trying to avoid osteoporosis, which isn’t easy for someone who doesn’t walk to get. I already have Osteopenia which I am trying to reverse, so I don’t have to be on medicine or worry about my bones snapping in two.

1st Man Born with a Disability Received Black Belt in Ohio Childhood Dream Comes True

When you think of someone who’s a Black Belt, you think of someone who can walk.

Paul Brailer uses a wheelchair, braces and sometimes crutches for optimal mobility. Having been born with Spina Bifida, Paul has been overcoming challenges his whole life, such as getting out of braces that went up to his chest and moving from a walker to crutches.

The new mobility he acquired when the old braces came off surely changed Paul’s life forever. He had been free from the shackles; they were hot and uncomfortable, his legs locked so he had to hop around.

Only now he had to learn how to move his legs independently and use his new handy dandy crutches; they send shivers down my spine; I have tried them, and they are very hard to walk with. I give him props, because he not only handles them; he mastered them. He spent time in and out of the hospital as a child/teen.

What sparked this amazing transformation of health, fitness and Karate after 20-some years? Paul’s dad passed away. They were incredibly close, and when the police suspected he might have been murdered, Paul decided that he had to think about safety and thought about getting a conceal to carry permit. Not sure if that would be the best idea, he put the decision on hold for a while.

Paul had been mugged shortly after starting karate class. While wheeling down the street, the mugger tried to steal his cell phone but Paul grabbed his arm and bent it back and the attacker not only dropped the cell phone, but he also fled from the scene. Paul said he could hear a bone snap and figured he had broken the mugger’s wrist.

Paul fought off the attacker with techniques he learned in karate class. After that, Paul finally decided to buy his gun and had gotten a conceal carry permit.

Although being a Black Belt has been a very important goal, which he achieved February 16, 2012, the focus on his life now is helping others get fit and be safe.

Paul thought about his physically disabled friends who could never fight off an attacker and set out to create Criptaedo. He modifies moves so that everyone has a chance to learn self-defense. He does the same for karate moves. Kids are drawn to him and cannot seem to get enough of their “Criptaedo – Roll Model.”

You will find a variety of information on the Criptaedo website and the Criptaedo You Tube Channel.

Don’t hesitate to friend him on Facebook or twitter. Paul says Karate changed his life, now he has confidence in his own abilities. Paul is available for public speaking engagements.
